A healthcare organization in Central Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This opportunity offers a collaborative practice environment with a diverse mix of surgical specialties and the opportunity to provide regional anesthesia while supporting a team-based anesthesia care model.

Assignment Details

• Setting: Surgical Services


• Start Date: As soon as credentialed


• Contract: Ongoing (initial 13-week assignment)


• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM


• Call: Occasional weekday night call (3:00 PM–7:00 AM)


• Credentialing: Approximately 90 days


• Temporary Privileges: Available for qualified candidates with a clean credentialing file


• EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a broad range of surgical procedures


• Administer general, regional, spinal, MAC, and ultrasound-guided anesthesia


• Provide anesthesia services for general surgery, orthopedics, vascular, OB/GYN, urology, pediatrics, GI, plastics, and robotic procedures


• Participate in occasional night call coverage


• Collaborate with CRNAs in a team-based anesthesia care model


• Document patient care using Epic

Requirements

• MD or DO


• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology


• Active Pennsylvania medical license


• Current ACLS and PALS certifications


• Minimum of two years of anesthesia experience preferred


• Proficiency with regional (nerve block) anesthesia


• Willingness to participate in occasional night call
