Overview

A healthcare organization in Southern New Mexico is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This opportunity offers a combination of scheduled clinical coverage and beeper call for providers who are comfortable practicing independently across a variety of surgical cases.

Assignment Details

• Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient


• Start Date: As soon as credentialed


• Contract: Ongoing


• Schedule: Scheduled clinical hours with required call, including weekends


• Call: Beeper call


• Response Time: Within 30 minutes


• Temporary Privileges: Available


• EMR: Cerner

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services across inpatient and outpatient surgical settings


• Independently assess, develop, and administer anesthesia care plans


• Perform regional anesthesia techniques, including ultrasound-guided blocks when appropriate


• Participate in required beeper call coverage, including weekends


• Deliver safe perioperative patient care and document encounters using Cerner

Requirements

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)


• Board Certified


• Active New Mexico CRNA license


• Active New Mexico DEA registration


• Minimum of one year of CRNA experience


• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications


• Experience practicing independently


• Comfortable performing regional nerve blocks (case logs required)


• Providers must reside more than 90 miles from the facility
