Location: Middle Tennessee
Duration: October – March, with potential to extend
Setting: Level II trauma center, 300 beds
Schedule: 1 week per month; ideally 7-day blocks, though 5-day (weekday-only) blocks will be considered
Shift: 8a–5p plus night call Monday–Friday; 24-hour call (8a–8a) Saturday–Sunday
Scope: 100% Interventional Radiology — no diagnostic reading required
Support: Advanced practice providers plus 3 other IR physicians on staff
EMR: Cerner

Procedural Scope:
Angiography and venography (diagnostic and interventional — peripheral, visceral)
Angioplasty (balloon, drug-coated, cutting)
Stent placement (peripheral, venous, arterial, carotid, iliac, SFA)
Thrombectomy/thrombolysis required (peripheral, PE, DVT, stroke, dialysis graft)
Embolization procedures (UAE, GI bleed/TIPS, tumor embolization)
IVC filter placement and retrieval
Image-guided biopsies (liver, lung, kidney, bone)
Drainage procedures (abscess, biliary, nephrostomy, paracentesis, thoracentesis)
G-tube/GJ-tube placement
Lumbar punctures and myelograms
Vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty
Pain injections (nerve blocks, epidurals, facet, SI joint)
Central venous catheters (tunneled and non-tunneled)
Port placement/removal
Dialysis graft/fistula interventions

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology
Active Tennessee license or IMLC Compact
Completed residency in Radiology and fellowship in Interventional Radiology, or equivalent qualifying experience
Must be able to produce case logs from the past 12 months. 15 Thrombectomy cases required for privileges
