We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 54-day assignment with our client in California, starting Sep 1, 2026. This role involves working independent of MD supervision, with shifts from 10:45 AM – 9:15 PM, handling a variety of low acuity emergency and fast track urgent care cases, including sutures, chest pain, abdominal pain, pelvic exams, and lacerations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work independent of MD supervision.
• Manage low acuity emergency room cases, functioning in a fast track urgent care to emergency room role.
• Perform sutures.
• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with chest pain (including 40-year-olds).
• Assess and manage undifferentiated abdominal pain.
• Conduct pelvic exams.
• Handle occasional vertical 3 patients.
• Treat lacerations.
• Perform eye exams (including with slit lamps).
• Manage headaches.
• Authorize technicians to perform splints.
