We are seeking a highly skilled Surgery - Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant for a 90-day assignment in Connecticut, commencing Aug 3, 2026. This role involves varied 8-hour days (Monday-Friday), with potential for call and 24-hour shifts. The selected professional will manage pre-operative physical exams, suture removal, illness diagnosis and treatment, test ordering and interpretation, surgical assistance, prescription writing, and comprehensive care coordination, including rounding and placement of various catheters and lines.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform pre-operative physical exams
• Conduct suture removal
• Diagnose illnesses
• Treat illnesses
• Order tests
• Interpret tests
• Assist in surgery
• Write prescriptions
• Coordinate patient care
• Perform rounding
• Place central venous and dialysis catheters
• Place arterial lines and intra-aortic balloon pumps
• Execute endoscopic retrieval
• Note: No involvement with balloon pumps
