What You’ll Do
- Manage and monitor patients with complex conditions, including respiratory failure, CVA, DKA, Sepsis, post-surgical care, and cardiac interventions
- Titrate cardiac, insulin, and vasopressor drips (e.g., Dopamine, Amiodarone, Levophed)
- Manage IV access, chest tubes, central lines, and wound care
- Contribute to safe patient transitions and maintain documentation via Meditech Expanse EMR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including support staff and hospitalists
- Ensure compliance with all safety and clinical protocols, passing an EKG competency exam prior to start
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for license transfer
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Stepdown RN experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Ability to pass EKG competency exam
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, drips, and critical patient management
Preferred:
- LVAD certification (for 2 West Unit)
- Experience with managing venous sheaths and temporary pacemakers
