What You’ll Do
- Provide expert nursing care to oncology patients in a high-acuity PCU setting
- Monitor patient status using B450 monitors and GE telemetry systems
- Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV lines including PICC, peripheral, and central lines
- Perform specialized procedures such as chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and airway management
- Respond to rapid response calls and interpret dysrhythmias
- Ensure infection control protocols and patient safety measures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Float within units of similar or lower acuity as needed
What You Need
- Valid Ohio nursing license
- BCLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
- At least 2 years of recent high-acuity PCU or telemetry nursing experience
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and IV management
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, and emergency response
- Key skills: IV start, blood product administration, chest tube care, airway management, medication administration, and monitoring
