What You’ll Do
- Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Conduct bedside swallow studies and monitor diet recommendations for inpatient clients
- Administer outpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions for adults
- Prepare detailed reports for physicians and document all patient interactions per standards
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing education initiatives
- Maintain proficiency with EMR system (McKesson) and adhere to dress code (business casual or matching scrubs)
- Support patient care activities including community education and in-service programs
What You Need
- Valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient adult care preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work within a collaborative healthcare team
About the Assignment
This role involves providing comprehensive speech therapy services primarily for adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will engage in bedside swallow assessments, diet planning, outpatient treatment, and documentation, contributing to patient recovery and well-being.
