- Experience Required: OR experience, especially vein harvesting strongly preferred
- Certifications: Current Physician Assistant license in Texas or ability to obtain
- Duration: Short-term coverage (last-minute 2026 coverage)

What You’ll Do
- Rounding in ICU and pre/post-cardiac surgery units
- Managing patients coming off ventilators and recovering from open-heart, VATS, and lung surgeries
- Assisting with patient care immediately post-operation and during ICU stays
- Participating in vein harvesting procedures (strongly preferred)
- Collaborating with surgical teams and providing quality patient care in a high-volume cardiac unit
- Supporting last-minute coverage needs in a fast-paced environment
What You Need
Required:
- Physician Assistant license in Texas or eligibility to practice
- Prior OR, ICU, or cardiac surgery experience
- Ability to work 7a-7p shifts as scheduled
- Strong patient management skills in acute settings
Preferred:
- Experience with vein harvesting techniques
- Prior work in cardiac ICU or surgical units
