Description

We are seeking a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner for a 72-day assignment in Ohio, starting Oct 1, 2026. This role involves 12-hour shifts, covering both days and nights, providing care for critically ill premature and term neonates in a NICU. The successful candidate will manage comprehensive neonatal services, including ECMO, neonatal surgery, and advanced respiratory support, with strong independent capabilities for night shifts overseeing 24-30 patients.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • 12 hour days and nights
  • Night needs very strong NNP who is comfortable caring for 24-30 patients independently
  • Care for critically ill premature and term neonates
  • Comprehensive neonatal services including ECMO, neonatal surgery, therapeutic hypothermia, and advanced respiratory support
  • Collaborative practice with board-certified neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, neonatal fellows, residents, and experienced NICU nursing staff


Additional Information

  • Board Certifications: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC), Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
  • EMR: Epic
  • Procedures include NICU cases such as intubation, UA/UV placement, ventilator (conventional and high frequency oscillation) management, arterial and venous blood drawing, urine catheterization, lumbar puncture, needle aspiration, and chest tube placement.
