Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) (Locum Tenens)

Location: Texas

Schedule: Shift-based coverage; schedule varies

Position Overview

Emergency department APP coverage in a collaborative EM model. Providers should be comfortable managing acute presentations and working alongside physician coverage.

Clinical Scope

Emergency department evaluation and management

Acute care procedures consistent with scope and site capability

Collaboration with physician and nursing teams

Required Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Texas NP license (and RN license) or active, unrestricted Texas PA license

National certification (AANP or ANCC for NP; NCCPA for PA)

DEA registered to Texas address if required for the role

Current ACLS and ATLS may be required per site

Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify

EMR: Medhost

Credentialing and Onboarding

Credentialing may require recent case logs and CME documentation
