Are you an Anesthesiologist searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Maryland might be the perfect fit for you! Opportunity Highlights- Schedule: Day shift; 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available; overtime offered but not expected
- Job Setting:Â Hospital (8 Anesthesia Rooms); charting via Epic
- Types of Cases: General, Neuro, Ortho; required specialties include General, OB, and Pediatrics
- Credentialing: Estimated 40-60 days; emergency privileges (under 30 days) and temporary privileges (30-60 days) available
Responsibilities- Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtain and/or verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Minimum Requirements- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification required
- Certifications: ECFMG and FLEX; completion of approved residency in Anesthesia
- Licensure: M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine; currently licensed as a Physician; candidates needing to obtain state license will be considered
- Other: Must be able to supervise CRNAs
