Description
Thoracic Surgery Opportunity in Upstate New York State
- Perform thoracic surgeries, including minimally invasive and complex procedures.
- Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the chest and thoracic cavity.
- Collaborate with surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, pulmonologists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients.
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate patients and families about treatment options and recovery processes.
- Participate in medical student and General Surgery residency education.

- Call for thoracic patients is shared with General Surgeons on nights and weekends.
- Multi-disciplinary tumor board and ACS CoC accredited.
Job Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Thoracic Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Board certification or eligibility in Thoracic Surgery.
- Valid medical license in New York State.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with advanced imaging and diagnostic tools.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.

- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $100,000
