We are seeking a Physician Assistant - Pediatric Critical Care Medicine to join our client's team in Texas for a 30-day assignment starting Nov 2, 2026. This role involves managing chronic pulmonary patients who require ventilator support, focusing on inpatient rehabilitation and transitional care. The schedule will include significant night coverage with shifts from 7a - 8p and 7p - 8a.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide care for chronic pulmonary patients, many of whom utilize ventilators
  • Manage patients requiring ventilator support at home, including non-invasive BiPAP therapy and trach/vent management
  • Engage in pediatric inpatient rehabilitation and transitional care
  • Oversee a neuro-rehab, pulmonary, and feeding disorder patient population
  • Perform ventilator and tracheostomy management
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary care model
  • Deliver strong family-centered education and discharge planning
  • Focus on a floor-care model with no procedures involved
  • No outpatient expectations for this role

  • EMR: Epic
  • Shift hours: 7a - 8p & 7p - 8a (While it is not a fully night-shift role, it will involve a significant amount of night coverage.)
