What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality emergency care for a diverse patient population, including infants to end-of-life care
- Manage patients across all acuity levels—from MedSurg, stepdown, to ICU—stabilizing traumas and supporting complex cases
- Perform ventilator management, critical care drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and other advanced nursing tasks
- Triage and prioritize patient care in a busy ER environment
- Collaborate with physicians, RTs, and support staff to deliver safe, efficient treatment
- Document patient assessments and care using Meditech Expanse EMR system
What You Need
- Active LA State Nursing License
- 2+ years of emergency department experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB certifications
- Strong clinical skills in ventilator management, critical care, and cardiac monitoring
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
