What You'll Do
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop treatment plans for patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to guide interventions
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed
- Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services based on patient responses and referrals
- Provide consultation and education to patients, families, caregivers, and team members
- Generate detailed discharge summaries in line with regulatory and clinical standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and electronic health records
- Support and supervise CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuing education activities
- Ensure compliance with ASHA and state practice standards
What You Need
Required:
- Valid MO Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
- Certification from ASHA
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably LTC
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Preferred:
- Previous experience supervising CFYs or students
- Knowledge of regulatory documentation standards
- Experience with electronic documentation systems
