Description
Location: Western Minnesota (Near Fargo, ND)
Duration: ASAP - Minimum 6-12 months
Reason for coverage: Provider turnover
Schedule: Monday-Friday + occasional weekend call
Shift: 8a-5p
Call: Roughly 1 in 5 weekends, primarily phone-based — physically called in only 1–2 times per year. Primary Care may be called to the ER for minor issues (e.g. migraines); no strokes, codes, or higher-acuity cases. The only other reason to come in is to assist with transfer paperwork for patients being sent to Fargo, ND. Hospitalist starting in September that will alleviate the call portion entirely.
Patient volume: 12-15 pts per day | 60-minute visits for new patients, gradual ramp
Scope: Outpatient Primary Care – All ages| Chronic care, preventive, acute
EMR: Epic
Hospital: Critical Access hospital
Group/support: Provider will have their own nurse and triage RN
Requirements (boards, license): BC FM, MN License or IMLC, MN DEA | Prefers ACLS/ATLS but not required | Recent Activity/Case Logs in PCP from last 2 years | Clean NPDB Preferred
