What You’ll Do
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders.
- Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practices under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Assist with ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities.
- Assess patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT.
- Document all services and patient responses accurately in electronic medical records.
- Support discharge planning and provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and in-services.
- Supervise and support students under the guidance of an OT.
- Adhere to professional and regulatory standards, including NBCOT/AOTA guidelines.
What You Need
- Active State Licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- 1+ years of related experience preferred
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and follow regulatory guidelines
