What You’ll Do
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop treatment plans for communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed
- Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Complete all required documentation and discharge summaries in electronic records
- Support supervision of CFYs or student therapists when applicable
- Adhere to ASHA and state practice standards, code of conduct, and ethics
What You Need
Required:
- Valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts
- ASHA certification (or eligibility)
- Strong clinical skills in adult rehabilitation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
