Urology Physician – 24-Hour Call | Low Callback Volume

Floyd Lee Locums is seeking a Urology Physician for 24-hour call coverage in Nebraska. This assignment offers focused ED and surgical urology coverage with a relatively light callback burden and hospitalists managing admissions.

Assignment Details

• 24-hour call coverage, 7:00 AM-7:00 AM


• Weekend and holiday coverage included


• Discrete coverage blocks available


• Average onsite callback time of approximately 1-2 hours per day


• Call volume varies from no ED urology consults on some days to approximately 4-5 on busier days


• Emergency department and surgical setting


• Approximately 3-4 weeks minimum for credentialing

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour general urology call coverage


• Evaluate and manage urologic consultations from the emergency department


• Provide surgical intervention when clinically indicated


• Receive appropriate handoffs from the facility’s urology team


• Coordinate patient care with hospitalists, surgical nurses, and technicians


• Hospitalists manage admissions


• Document patient care using Epic

Requirements

• MD or DO


• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology


• Nebraska medical license highly preferred


• Active DEA


• General urology experience


• Must be comfortable using and learning Epic


• Recent urology case logs from the previous two years required for presentation


• Clean malpractice history highly preferred


• Ability to provide weekend and holiday call coverage
