What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for patients with complex conditions such as DKA, respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator needs in a mixed cardiac/medical ICU
- Administer medications, including vasopressors, sedatives, and cardiac drugs, following protocols
- Monitor patient symptoms closely, interpret diagnostic data, and adjust care plans accordingly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document all patient assessments, treatments, and plans accurately
- Educate patients and families about their conditions and care procedures
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and nursing standards
What You Need
Required
- RN License (state of Louisiana or valid compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
- Minimum 1 year of critical care nursing experience (new graduates considered)
- Able to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced ICU setting
Preferred
- Experience with complex patient cases such as ventilated patients and post-op cardiac surgery
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate clinical competence
