What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within the PCU.
- Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and perform assessments.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement care plans.
- Perform special procedures such as burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy.
- Document care using EPIC and Pyxis medication systems.
- Float within Wexner Medical Center as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety guidelines.
- Support patient education and families in a fast-paced clinical environment.
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Ohio RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 1 year recent PCU experience
- Ability to work night shifts, including every other or third weekend
- Experience with EPIC documentation and Pyxis system
Preferred:
- Charge RN experience
- Experience in teaching hospitals
- Familiarity with burn, reconstructive, urological, GYN, ENT, or oral/maxillofacial surgeries

This assignment is located at a leading hospital in Columbus, Ohio, renowned for its specialized adult and geriatric patient care, including complex surgeries and burn care. The unit features 22 beds and an average census of 20, managing diverse surgical cases requiring specialized procedures.
