Requirements:
- Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment.
- Medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity.
- 2-10 years’ experience
- BLS
- ACLS (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC)
- 2+ years of experience
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Flex Rn Floats between various medical and surgical units
- 12-hour shifts - Days (0645 to 1915) - Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.
- Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: Meditech EMR; pyxis; wound vac; chest tubes.
- Floating to other units/departments: Medical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions)
- Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept: Medical - 77; Laulima (surgical Acute) - 18; Cardiovascular Unit - 15
- Nurse to patient ratio of this unit: Medical 1:6 for days and eves, 1:8 for nights; Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4; Ratio may vary due to unexpected leaves
- Dress Code: Professional nursing attire - clean scrubs
- Orientation time provided for each unit
