This Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant role is based in Pasco, Washington, part of the vibrant Tri-Cities region along the Columbia River. Typical responsibilities in this position include implementing treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, progressing therapeutic exercise programs, providing manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education, and educating patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention. You will perform accurate and timely documentation in the clinic’s EMR system and participate in ongoing clinical discussions to update and refine patient care plans. The outpatient setting commonly features orthopedic and musculoskeletal diagnoses, post-surgical rehab, sports-related injuries, and general functional mobility issues, giving you a broad and engaging caseload that supports continued clinical growth.
A typical day may involve working with a steady flow of scheduled patients, coordinating closely with the supervising PT on daily goals and progressions, and adjusting interventions in real time based on patient response. Patient volumes are structured to maintain high-quality care while supporting consistent productivity, and patient sessions are usually scheduled at regular intervals throughout the day to allow for appropriate treatment time and documentation. Work hours generally follow daytime or early evening shifts, providing predictable scheduling and helping maintain work-life balance.
