What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Adapt communication and care strategies to meet diverse patient needs, respecting privacy and preferences.
- Use EPIC documentation to accurately record patient information and care activities.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, delegating tasks appropriately and managing resources efficiently.
- Educate patients and families about their conditions and treatments to promote understanding and engagement.
- Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures, including handling potentially infectious materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure high standards of care.
What You Need:
- Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- BLS, ACLS from the American Heart Association
- CPI certification (Blue Card)
- Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience
- Experience with EPIC documentation software
- Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty areas
- Strong communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills
