Description
We are seeking a skilled Anesthetist for a 120-day assignment in Vermont, commencing Oct 5, 2026. This role involves 12-hour shifts with a TBD call component. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive general adult anesthesiology care within an academic trauma center, managing a broad case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, GI/endoscopy, GYN, vascular, trauma, regional, general, MAC/sedation, and neuraxial anesthesia. Duties span pre-op assessment through anesthesia management, emergence, and PACU handoff.
Responsibilities and Duties - Provide general adult anesthesiology at an academic trauma center
- Work within a care team model
- Manage a broad adult anesthesia case mix at an academic tertiary-care hospital
- Perform general surgery anesthesia
- Handle orthopedics / complex ortho cases
- Manage ENT cases
- Provide urology anesthesia
- Oversee GI/endoscopy procedures
- Administer GYN anesthesia
- Perform vascular anesthesia
- Manage trauma/emergency cases
- Perform regional anesthesia / blocks
- Administer general anesthesia, MAC/sedation, and neuraxial anesthesia
- Conduct pre-operative assessments
- Manage anesthesia during procedures
- Execute emergence/PACU handoff
