Surgery Nurse Practitioner – Potsdam, NY

What You’ll Do:
- Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized adult surgical patients
- Assist with wounds, vessel cauterization, suturing, and closing incisions
- Position patients and apply direct pressure as needed during procedures
- Aid in suctioning, drainage, irrigation, and hemostasis
- Immobilize patients on the operating table
- Support medical-surgical floor care including rounding, managing orders, and discharges
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams across General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedics
- Ensure safety, comfort, and quality in all patient interactions
What You Need:
- NY State Nurse Practitioner license
- Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, ATLS
- Minimum of 2 years recent surgical practice
- Excellent communication skills and team-minded attitude
Preferred:
- Epic electronic medical record experience
- Experience with diverse surgical procedures
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
