Description
Our client in Colorado is seeking an experienced Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant for a 270-day assignment starting Aug 17, 2026. This full-time role involves an 8-hour workday, typically from 8 AM to 5 PM. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for conducting DOT physicals, evaluating and treating workplace injuries, managing workers’ compensation follow-ups, performing pre-employment and fit-for-duty exams, and handling various occupational medicine visits.
Responsibilities and Duties - Perform DOT physicals, ensuring FMCSA certification compliance.
- Evaluate and treat various workplace injuries, including musculoskeletal issues of the neck, back, and extremities.
- Manage work-related injuries to the head, chest, or abdomen, and treat lacerations or non-penetrating eye injuries.
- Handle workers’ compensation follow-ups and provide return-to-work clearance.
- Conduct pre-employment and fit-for-duty examinations.
- Complete all necessary employer and DOT documentation.
- Provide care for basic urgent care and occupational medicine visits.
- Address occupational skin conditions, rashes, and respiratory symptoms like occupational asthma.
Additional Information - Board Certification in Occupational Medicine required.
- Experience with Systoc EMR system.
- Typical shift hours are 8 AM to 5 PM.
