"Hematology/Oncology Physician AssistantAssignment Details • Location: New Ulm, Minnesota • Provider Type: Physician Assistant • Specialty: Hematology/Oncology • Start Date: November 9, 2026 / ASAP • Duration: 13 weeks • Positions Available: 1 • Practice Setting: Outpatient-focused Oncology / Infusion Clinic • Coverage Type: Scheduled, No Call • EMR: Epic • Critical Access setting • Adult Level IV trauma designation Compensation: Hourly - $140/hr Schedule • Monday-Friday • 8:00 AM-4:30 PM • Part-time coverage needed • Approximately 2-3 shifts per week • No call • 4-hour orientation
Patient Population / Volume • All ages • Approximately 11-16 patients per day • Outpatient Hematology/Oncology population • Solid tumor malignancies • Hematologic malignancies and conditions requiring active management Clinical Responsibilities • Provide outpatient Hematology/Oncology care • Manage patients with solid tumors • Manage patients with hematologic malignancies • Provide treatment follow-up and ongoing disease management • Collaborate with Hematologists/Oncologists • Coordinate with infusion teams • Work closely with nurse navigators and support services • Inpatient collaboration as needed • No specialized procedures beyond routine outpatient Hematology/Oncology services Treatment / Infusion Services • Chemotherapy • Immunotherapy • Oncology supportive therapies • High-acuity infusion treatments • Treatment monitoring and management • Clinical trial access for eligible patients Clinic / Infusion Environment • 5 clinic exam rooms • 9 infusion chairs • 2 private infusion treatment rooms • 2 fast-track triage rooms • Clinic directly connected to infusion services Support Staff • Oncology Nurse Navigator • Oncology Clinic RNs • LPNs / CMAs • Infusion nursing team • Oncology Research Nurse • Oncology Provider Coordinator • Oncology Social Worker • Dietitian • Mental health support • Financial navigator • Oncology / Infusion Nurse Manager • Centralized prior authorization support • Palliative Care • Genetic counseling via telehealth Onsite Resources • Laboratory • Radiology • PET scans, including PSMA PET • MRI • CT • Cancer rehabilitation • Survivorship services • Clinical research support • Telehealth specialty care Requirements • Board Certified Physician Assistant / APP – Required • Active Minnesota license – Required • Minnesota license must be in hand • Epic experience – Required • Hematology/Oncology experience strongly preferred • Must be comfortable managing outpatient oncology and hematology patients Additional Information • Community-based oncology practice with access to a larger integrated cancer network • Strong multidisciplinary clinical support • Access to advanced cancer therapies and clinical trials • Opportunity to provide continuity of care in a community oncology setting"
