Oncology Registered Nurse – New Orleans, LA

What You’ll Do:
- Provide compassionate care to oncology and hematology patients, including BMT and leukemia cases
- Administer medications and IV therapies using Alaris pumps and barcode medication systems
- Assist with bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
- Document care accurately in Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support patient education and discharge planning as needed
What You Need:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact state
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Experience with oncology patient care, Epic electronic health record system, and infusion therapy equipment
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment in a middle-sized unit
About the Assignment:
Join a dedicated team caring for hematology, medical oncology, and BMT patients in a 7-bed positive pressure unit. The unit offers bedside CVC placements, biopsies, and infusion therapies, serving complex patient populations including leukemia and oncologic cases. Weekend coverage is scheduled every other week; first-time travelers are welcome. This is a great opportunity to expand your clinical skills in a supportive environment within a top-tier healthcare facility.
