What You’ll Do
- Deliver evidence-based rehabilitative therapy to patients in long-term care
- Implement skilled, medically necessary treatments under supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Assist with patient assessments and report progress to supervising therapist
- Use manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records per regulations
- Support patient and family education on physical health and recovery
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support supervision of students and support staff as required
What You Need
Required:
- Active State Licensure as a PTA
- Prior experience in rehabilitation or long-term care settings preferred
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques, modalities, and assistive devices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Experience documenting in electronic health record systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams
