What You’ll Do
- Provide skilled and medically necessary rehabilitative treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Perform manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, ambulation support, and use of assistive devices
- Assess patient progress and communicate updates to supervising therapist
- Document treatment interventions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust treatment plans
- Counsel and educate patients and their families regarding physical function and recovery
- Support and supervise students as needed during clinical practice
- Participate in team meetings, conferences, and ongoing training sessions
What You Need
- Active State Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Prior experience in long-term care environments preferred
- Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient rehabilitation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
