"Pediatrics / Family Medicine Physician – Newborn CoverageAssignment Details • Location: Florence, Oregon • Provider Type: Physician (MD/DO) • Specialty: Pediatrics / Family Medicine • Start Date: October 19, 2026 / ASAP • Current Coverage Approval: Through January 14, 2027 • Positions Available: 1 • Practice Setting: Inpatient / Critical Access Hospital • Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call • Hospital Size: 21 beds • Trauma Level: Adult Level IV Compensation: Hourly Rate - $1480 per 24 hours Call Back - $190/hr Schedule • 24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM • Coverage needed approximately 14–21 days per month • Physician must remain within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call • Call is limited to deliveries and admitting newborns following delivery • Average 6–7 births per month • Anticipated callback volume: Approximately 1–2 nights per week
Patient Population • Neonatal and Pediatric • Average Daily Census: Approximately 1 patient Clinical Responsibilities • Attend deliveries as needed • Provide newborn care following delivery • Admit newborns following delivery • Perform neonatal resuscitation when clinically indicated • Provide inpatient pediatric/newborn services within granted privileges • Physician will work independently with tele-neonatology support available Required Procedures / Skills • Neonatal Resuscitation • Newborn assessment and management • Newborn admissions • Delivery attendance as required • Ability to provide independent pediatric/newborn coverage Requirements • Board Certified in Pediatrics OR Family Medicine – Required • NRP – Required • Oregon medical license preferred • Oregon license must be in hand for candidates seeking an expedited/October start • Non-Oregon licensed candidates may be considered if licensing timeline is reasonable; ETA must be provided • Recent relevant clinical activity/case documentation required • Epic experience – Required • Must be comfortable working independently • COVID-19 vaccination – Required; no exemptions Clinical Activity Requirements • Pediatrics: Must demonstrate recent inpatient, outpatient, or consultative pediatric services within the requested scope of privileges • Recent residency graduates may provide residency case logs • Candidates with recent pediatric hospital medicine experience may provide a quality profile demonstrating clinical activity • Candidates without pediatric hospital medicine experience within the last 3 years may need case logs from the preceding 24 months • Family Medicine candidates must provide documentation of family medicine services representative of the requested privileges during the previous 24 months • Recent Family Medicine graduates may provide a training log EMR • Epic – Required Additional Information • Working solo: Yes • Tele-neonatology support is available • Hospital privileges required • Admissions required • Oregon license is strongly preferred for faster credentialing and start"
