Pay & Benefits

What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized care for antepartum and laboring patients in a Level 3 NICU setting
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to monitor maternal and fetal health
- Administer medications such as Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Cytotec, and others
- Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including C-sections and balloon inductions
- Support postpartum care, including blood administration and Jada device use
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse and GE Centricity Perinatal EMR systems
- Participate in rotating weekend and on-call shifts, ensuring continuous patient support
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or the appropriate state
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, FHM
- Ability to manage laboring patients, assist with C-sections, and perform postpartum interventions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
About the Assignment
This assignment takes place at a well-regarded hospital within Shreveport, LA, offering a family-like culture on the unit. The hospital features 85 licensed beds with a specialized maternity unit that supports antepartum, labor, and postpartum care. As part of your role, you'll work alongside dedicated nurses and receive orientation followed by a smooth transition into the unit, with support from charge nurses, in-house phlebotomy, RTs, and hospitalist teams.
