What You’ll Do:
- Provide high-level critical care to adult patients with complex conditions including DKA, respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator management
- Manage patients with post-operative cardiovascular surgeries and invasive devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and evaluate outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and treatments
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about care plans and procedures
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards specific to ICU care
What You Need:
- Current RN license in Louisiana or multi-state compact license
- BLS certification via AHA (required)
- ACLS certification via AHA (required)
- 1+ year of ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to handle complex clinical situations independently
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impellas, post-op cardiovascular surgery, and CRRT
- Critical care certification preferred but not required
