Hematology/Oncology Physician – Flexible Coverage | Central Wisconsin

Overview

A healthcare system in Central Wisconsin is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for ongoing locum tenens coverage. Full-time availability is preferred, though physicians able to provide 2–3 weeks of coverage per month will also be considered. This role combines outpatient Hematology/Oncology with inpatient rounding and call responsibilities. (Job ID: 51672)

Details

• Setting: Clinic and hospital


• Start: ASAP


• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch


• Full-time coverage preferred; 2–3 weeks per month considered


• Hospital call: 1:4 weekly rotation


• Daily hospital rounding during call coverage


• Shared weekday clinic call for add-on consults and chemotherapy supervision


• Manage acute leukemia and inpatient chemotherapy patients


• Perform bone marrow biopsies


• Documentation for post-autologous stem cell transplant and post-CAR-T cell therapy patients


• Support includes physicians, APPs, RNs/MAs, patient navigators, and infusion RNs

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible


• Hematology/Oncology fellowship training


• Wisconsin license


• Bone marrow biopsy experience required


• Experience managing acute leukemia and inpatient chemotherapy patients


• ACLS


• ATLS


• BLS
