Floyd Lee Locums is seeking a General Dentist for an ongoing assignment in Virginia. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule with no call and the flexibility to choose between five standard shifts or four 10-hour shifts.

Assignment Details

• Immediate start upon credentialing


• Ongoing assignment with a 3-month minimum commitment


• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, or four 10-hour shifts


• No call


• Correctional healthcare setting


• 100% adult patient population


• Dental hygienist and dental assistant support


• Paper charting


• Some travel to surrounding facilities via mobile dental unit

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general dentistry services


• Diagnose and treat oral diseases, injuries, and other dental conditions


• Perform restorative dental care


• Provide preventive dental services and treatment planning


• Restore and replace teeth as clinically appropriate


• Perform and interpret dental radiography and imaging


• Educate patients regarding oral health and preventive care


• Provide dental services at surrounding facilities utilizing a mobile dental unit as needed


• Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to coordinate patient care

Requirements

• Active Virginia dental license required


• Facility is not willing to license


• Active DEA required


• General dentistry experience


• Proficiency with restorative procedures


• Experience with dental radiography and imaging


• Strong diagnostic and patient education skills


• Ability to travel to surrounding facilities via mobile dental unit


• Strong communication skills
