What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized care for cardiac ICU patients, including those on vents, Swan-Ganz catheters, balloon pumps, PA lines, and conscious sedation
- Monitor and assess patient conditions ensuring safety and optimal outcomes
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including starting IVs and managing telemetries
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Float within units of similar acuity as needed
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic medical record system
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
What You Need
- Valid Ohio RN license (or eligibility)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
- Skills in IV starts, telemetry, vent management, Swan-Ganz monitoring, and sedation protocols
- Previous travel nursing experience a plus
About the Assignment
Join a reputable hospital in Columbus, OH, known for its commitment to patient care and staff excellence. This assignment provides an excellent opportunity for experienced CVICU RNs to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with support from a dedicated team. The shift is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with up to six weekend shifts over the four-week schedule, offering a great balance of work and rest.
