What You’ll Do
- Provide routine and complex nursing care within the Labor and Delivery unit
- Assess patients’ clinical and emotional needs, providing appropriate interventions
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring for side effects
- Document patient histories, symptoms, and care plans
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on procedures and postpartum care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver individualized patient care
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and protocols
What You Need
Required:
- Current RN license in Texas or a Compact State
- BLS, NRP, ACLS certifications (from AHA)
- NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN Intermediate FHM certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in labor and delivery or perinatal settings
Preferred:
- Recent experience in a hospital labor and delivery unit
- Completion of Perinatal RN Residency
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
