"Cardiology Nurse PractitionerAssignment Details • Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota • Provider Type: Nurse Practitioner • Specialty: Cardiology • Start Date: January 11, 2027 • Assignment Length: Initial 13 weeks with potential ongoing coverage • Positions Available: 1 • Coverage Need: Full-Time and/or Weekend Coverage • Practice Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-Based Cardiology • Coverage Type: Scheduled – No Call Compensation: $115/hr Schedule • 10-hour day shifts • Monday–Friday: Approximately 7:00 AM–5:00/5:30 PM • Weekend coverage required based on assignment • Greatest need is for 10-hour weekend shifts • Weekend shifts are rotated among approximately 6 APPs • Weekend-only candidates may be considered • Full-time candidates may also be considered Patient Population / Volume • Patient Population: Adults • General Cardiology Floor/Stepdown: Approximately 8–12 patients per day • CCU: Approximately 4–6 patients per day • Hospital Size: Approximately 128 beds Clinical Responsibilities • Provide inpatient Cardiology care • Round on General Cardiology patients • Assess and manage hospitalized cardiac patients • Collaborate closely with cardiologists and the cardiovascular care team • Complete documentation by the end of each working day • Provide Critical Care coverage only if appropriately experienced • Advanced Heart Failure coverage may be included for experienced providers Clinical Scope • General Cardiology – Required • Inpatient Cardiology rounding • Cardiology floor and stepdown patient management • Critical Care / CCU – Only if experienced • Advanced Heart Failure – Only if experienced • Critical Care experience is not required for weekend-only coverage • Critical Care experience may be required for full-time placement Support Staff • Approximately 1:1 APP-to-Physician support • Full support staff available weekdays and weekends • Weekend coverage rotated among approximately 6 APPs Requirements • Board Certification – Required • APRN Certification – Required • Minimum 2 years of Cardiology experience as an APP – Required • Minnesota license required for assignment • Candidates requiring Minnesota licensing may be considered • DEA – Required • General Cardiology experience – Required • Acute Care Certification – NOT Required • Critical Care experience – May be required for full-time placement • Critical Care experience – Not required for weekend-only coverage EMR • Epic • Documentation must be completed by end of day Credentialing • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days from application submission • Candidates requiring licensing may be considered Additional Information • Inpatient-only position • Weekend-only candidates are accepted • Full-time candidates are also accepted • Greatest coverage need is on weekends • Initial coverage is related to leaves of absence • Potential for ongoing coverage for future leaves, holidays, and additional staffing needs"
