Momentum Healthcare Staffing (Momentum HCS) is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Neurologist to join a growing, hospital-employed neurology practice in Dothan, Alabama. This opportunity is available due to continued practice growth and offers an excellent outpatient-focused practice environment with no inpatient responsibilities and no call. The ideal candidate will be Neurology residency trained and comfortable performing EMG studies. Additional fellowship training in Neurophysiology or a related subspecialty is preferred but not required. Position Highlights Location: Dothan, Alabama Specialty: General Neurology Employment: Hospital-employed Reason for Opening: Practice growth Practice Setting: Outpatient only Inpatient Responsibilities: None Call: None Visa Sponsorship: Visa candidates accepted Team: Multidisciplinary clinic featuring General Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Neuroendovascular Surgery APP Support: Dedicated Advanced Practice Provider support Practice Location: Single location; no travel required EMG: Willingness to perform EMGs required Additional Training: Fellowship training in Neurophysiology or a related field preferred, but not required Rehabilitation Resources: Neuromuscular Rehabilitation and Balance Center available EMR: Epic Schedule Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Outpatient only No inpatient coverage No call responsibilities Predictable weekday schedule with excellent work-life balance Clinical Practice The successful candidate will provide comprehensive outpatient neurological care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including: General Neurologists Neurosurgeons Neuroendovascular Surgeons Advanced Practice Providers Rehabilitation specialists Other members of the multidisciplinary neuroscience team The practice also offers access to a Neuromuscular Rehabilitation and Balance Center, providing additional resources for patients requiring specialized neurological rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of neurological conditions. Perform comprehensive neurological examinations and develop individualized treatment plans. Perform EMG studies as part of routine clinical practice. Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies. Provide evidence-based outpatient neurological care. Collaborate with Neurosurgery, Neuroendovascular Surgery, APPs, and other specialists. Coordinate patient care with rehabilitation and other ancillary services. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation using Epic EMR. Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining the highest professional standards. Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology. Willingness and ability to perform EMG studies. Fellowship training in Neurophysiology or a related subspecialty is preferred but not required. Eligible for an unrestricted Alabama medical license. Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one. Visa candidates are welcome to apply. Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
