What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality ICU care for critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting
- Monitor and manage complex post-operative cardiac and surgical patients, including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic dissections
- Administer medications and treatments, including PA catheters and balloon pumps
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transplant recovery cases (liver, heart, lungs, kidney, pancreas)
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination
- Assist in emergency response scenarios and potentially join relief or emergency teams as needed
- Follow all safety and clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Louisiana Registered Nurse license
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification
- Experience in ICU settings, including post-op cardiac and surgical patients
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Preferred:
- Experience with PA catheters, balloon pumps, and continuous renal replacement therapy
- Ability to adapt to float requirements across ICUs and SDUs
