What You’ll Do
- Provide advanced ICU patient care, including Impella and CRRT/NXSTAGE procedures
- Perform lab sticks, EKGs, line starts, and manage various medical equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Servo ventilators, Fresenius CRRT machines, and more
- Monitor patients using Edwards Lifesciences and GE monitors, ensuring high-quality care during 12-hour night shifts
- Float to all ICU units and occasionally to ED or PACU; may float to MS/PCU with patient ratios up to 1:4
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement patient care plans and respond to emergencies promptly
- Care for isolation patients as needed, with knowledge of N95 mask sizing required
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, CVICU experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH (CPI can be obtained at the facility)
- Proficiency with ICU equipment and emergency procedures
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to floating between units
