What You’ll Do
- Provide advanced critical care nursing for ICU patients, including lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts
- Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Servo ventilators, dialysis machines, cardiac monitors, and more
- Care for patients in ICU and float to ED, PACU, and MS/PCU as needed, handling varying patient ratios (1:2 to 1:4)
- Manage patient isolation protocols, including use of N95 masks, and adapt to changing patient acuity levels
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes during night shifts
What You Need
- Valid ICU RN license in Louisiana or appropriate state license
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience with Epic EMR proficiency
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH
- Ability to float across units and handle isolation patient care effectively
- Strong clinical and communication skills, adaptability, and team-oriented mindset
About the Assignment
This is a 13-week contract assignment in a busy ICU unit of a leading healthcare facility. Nurses will care for critically ill patients, utilizing advanced equipment and protocols, and must be flexible to float across units as needed. The position offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on quality care and teamwork.
