What You’ll Do:
- Provide expert nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry to ensure patient safety
- Administer chemotherapy and other treatments following protocol (ONS chemo preferred)
- Ensure infection prevention and patient fall safety protocols are followed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient progress accurately using Epic electronic charting
- Float to related MedSurg Oncology units as needed
What You Need:
Required:
- Active Ohio RN license
- BLS certification
- At least 2 years of relevant RN experience in oncology or med-surg
- Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
Preferred:
- ONS chemotherapy certification
- Previous travel nursing experience
About the Assignment:
This oncology unit cares for all solid tumor cancers across various stages—from diagnosis through end-of-life care. The facility emphasizes infection control and patient safety, ensuring a high standard of care in a specialized setting. Staff may be assigned to day or night shifts, with scheduling reviewed every four weeks based on staffing needs. The unit requires floating to other MedSurg Oncology departments as necessary to meet patient care demands.
