Adelphi is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students within a school setting in Gloucester, Virginia.

Requirements
• Current Virginia licensure or other applicable credential required to provide occupational therapy services.
• Appropriate education, training, and professional experience necessary to perform school-based occupational therapy services.
• Experience providing occupational therapy services to students with disabilities in a school or educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs and assigned service requirements.
• Conduct occupational therapy and functional evaluations.
• Develop written evaluation reports, recommendations, and appropriate occupational therapy interventions.
• Participate in eligibility, IEP, manifestation determination, and multidisciplinary team meetings as requested.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
• Consult with teachers, administrators, parents, special education personnel, and other members of the educational team.
• Provide recommendations regarding accommodations, assistive technology, adaptive strategies, and specialized instructional supports within the scope of occupational therapy services.
• Provide consultative services to instructional staff and families regarding students’ functional and educational needs.
• Assist with Medicaid-related documentation and billing requirements where applicable.
• Coordinate service schedules with designated administrators and case managers.
• Provide all reports, service records, progress documentation, and other information required by the School Division.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA, IDEA, HIPAA where applicable, and other governing requirements.
• Maintain required professional licensure, certifications, and professional standards throughout the assignment.
• Perform other duties as assigned
