An Arizona healthcare organization is seeking a board-certified Trauma Surgeon for a five-month locum tenens assignment. This opportunity offers 4-6 shifts per month providing Level I Trauma and Acute Care Surgery coverage with NP/PA support. (Job ID: 51754)

• Start Date: October 1, 2026


• Assignment Length: Through February 28, 2027


• Schedule: 4-6 24-hour shifts per month, 6am-6am


• Coverage: Primary in-house and secondary/backup call, rotating every other day


• Setting: Inpatient, Level I Trauma


• Scope: Trauma Service and Acute Care Surgery


• Support: NP/PA support


• EMR: Cerner


• Credentialing: Approximately 90 days with a clean file; emergency credentialing may be considered

Requirements

• Board Certified in General Surgery


• Board Certified in Surgical Critical Care


• Surgical Critical Care fellowship


• Active Arizona license or IMLC with LOQ in hand


• Active ATLS


• DEA/CSR


• Clean malpractice and background history


• Recent Level I Trauma experience highly preferred
