Job Setting: InpatientÂ

Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call

Call Type: Beeper; Call is for unassigned patients

EMR System: Cerner

Rounding: Assigned patients

Teaching/Resident Supervision: Required

Types of Cases / Skills

Nursery Level II/NICU and Level III/NICU

Ventilation Management - Invasive (ETT), Non-Invasive (BiPAP/CPAP), Nitric Oxide (iNO)

ECMO

Chest tube insertion

Exchange transfusions

Hemodialysis catheter placement

Central line, arterial line, PA catheter insertion

Intubation (ETT/NT) - Newborn and Pediatric

UVC and UAC

Lumbar puncture, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis

Needle pneumothorax decompression

Conscious and deep sedation

X-ray and EKG interpretation

Circumcision

Attend all C-sections and high-risk C-sections

Eval & management of acute volume/BP issues

Non-invasive ventilation management (neo-puff)

Suturing minor lacerations

Swallow studies

Minimum Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required

Certifications: PALS required

Licensure: Must be licensed in MA only; IMLC not accepted

Fellowship: 2 years required

Credentialing: Estimated 90 days; temporary privileges available
