Are you an Obstetrics and Gynecology (Laborist) physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in South Carolina might be the perfect fit for you!Opportunity Highlights- Schedule: Start Date: September 1, 2026 | End Date: December 31, 2026 | 2 providers requested | In-House Call Only
- Job Setting: Inpatient | Level II Trauma Facility | 15 beds in department | EMR: Cerner
- Types of Cases:
- Low and high risk pregnancy management
- FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
- OB Ultrasounds - Level I (viability) and Level II (anatomic)
- Amniocentesis
- Routine deliveries: Vaginal, Low forceps, Decision-making for C-section
- Complicated deliveries: C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBACs
- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
- Surgical gynecology: Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor, Operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)
- Laser certification required
- Rounding: Assigned and Unassigned Patients | Approximately 5 patients per shift
- Average deliveries per year: 1,000
- Call ratio: 3-5 | Phone consults: 3-5 | Patients seen: 3-5 | Admissions: 1-2 | Call back: 100%
- Call response time required: 30 minutes
- Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days (will expedite) | Temporary privileges not available
Minimum Requirements- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
- Certifications: BLS required
- Licensure: Must be licensed in South Carolina only | IMLC not accepted | Licensing reimbursement not provided
