What You’ll Do
- Provide emergency nursing care across a variety of acuity levels, including MedSurg, ICU, and Stepdown units
- Stabilize and assess trauma patients; coordinate care with hospitalists and ED physicians
- Manage ventilators, critical care drips, and cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications, including TPA for stroke patients
- Perform assessments, documentation, and patient education
- Assist with procedures like splinting, blood draws, and managing hemodynamic lines
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with all protocols and standards
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to reciprocate
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB
- Strong critical care skills, including ventilator management and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Preferred:
- Experience with stroke care and TPA administration
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
